Find joy in the journey.
If we think on it, we struggle daily to find joy in the journey. Most of us, that is. There are the everyday moments. Some are good, some not so much. Yet, truth be known, finding joy in each moment is a calling to each of us to live out loud, to say we will not be daunted by what’s in front of us, but will embrace joy as we strut through life and remain committed to speak our truth. Yes, strut through life. Speak our truth. Not in pain, but in laughter, along with smiles and whole host of other considerations for positive expansive expression.
I’m not asking us to live in a fairyland of hopeful thoughts that don’t acknowledge everyday challenges, but I am challenging each of us to embrace a code of conduct that is not paralyzed by daunting elements when, in fact, joy – resilient defiance, I sometimes call it – can say I will rise above the opposition.
For this family of geese, there is the expression of joy as the race to the pond on a morning walk occurs. The moment makes me smile, like all moments with creatures who may not speak our language (at least we think), but remain resilient in everyday matters and try to tell us, even when we can’t hear, that they know. Really know. Choose joy, I hear them say. Yes, the language of giants. Be one.
