Ahh, remember the song? I am reminded of it when I look at the frog positioned in my yard and his happy go lucky stance. It’s a good thing, to be reminded that is, that life without laughter and whimsy is a life lost. Frogs do that for me, so does the occasional crazy dog antic. I walk through the garden and realize I have forgotten the importance about most other things in life, including these.
The truth is worry creates unwelcome stress. It reminds us to pay attention but in excess it just plain doesn’t forward anything positive in life. Kids remind us of the power evident in living the moment. Animals do the same thing. A flower opens wide and just plain is. Happiness is just getting the simple things. Worry is the concern that we might not make it; otherwise, why would it exist? In contrast, we find trust and the possibility of any number of hopeful truths we hold dear.
So, don’t worry, be happy. Take in the day, whatever the challenge, walk the garden, and consider: this too shall pass.
